Looking at the bigger picture (pardon the pun!), this sort of thing tells me there's a general lack of respect for the Disney Company executive team amongst the Hollywood elite. To me, if Tom Hanks, one of the most respected people in Hollywood, won't work with Disney, it's gotta mean something is seriously wrong in the Magic Kingdom - at least the movie end of it. Hopefully this will be a wakeup call and not something Disney execs shrug off like they did with the Pixar split.

You would think that Disney would see how poorly all of their "straight to video" sequals do & QUIT MAKING THEM!!! I can not believe all of the sequals they come up with! The only sequals I've seen are Toy Story 2 & Return to Neverland (simply because it is a completely different story). Come up with a new idea!!!!
Sorry, this is a very sore subject with me!

"What ARRRRGH you doing?"
"What are
you doing?"
"No, What
ARRRRGH you doing?"

Actually, 4Mickey, from what I understand, the direct to DVD cheapquels are good money makers for Disney. This is great for the short-term bottom line. Bad for the long-term reputation of the company and, IMO, will eventually hurt them. Does Mr. Eisner care what happens to Disney in 20 years? I doubt it...
