Awwwwwwwwwww this looks like it's gonna be so good!! I almost teared up just watching that... when they said he was lonely. Poor thing.

Ok the whole bra scene followed by the alarm and the fire extinguisher... I keep watching it over and over and laughing so loud my coworkers think I'm insane.

Is it just me or does he look amazingly like Johnny 5? It looks cute but I think we will wait till it hits pay per view or rentals. I just cant get over the Short Circut rip off thing. I didnt care much for Ratatouille either. Give me good old fashioned animated cartoons
It's a Disney thing. If you understood, your only question would be "can I go?"

Not really sure that Wall-E is a "rip-off" Lots of Sci-fi robots have that sort of shape. Think about the robots in the que at Star Tours, they kinda look like Johnny 5. In fact Wasn't Johnny 5 featured in the backlot tour at the Studios?

In addition, I'm kinda excited about the fact that there are no voice actors! Im curious to see Pixar tell a story with little to no dialogue.

I posted this in a similar thread but the whole similarity to Short Circuit thing isn't really all that surprising when you look back on when the concept of WALL-E was actually being worked. The idea for WALL-E came up during a brainstorming session the guys at Pixar had in the early 90's, not too long after Short Circuit's release in '86.

Also thinkin about sci fi themes in that look, ET's another kinda character that also has that kind of shaped head but it seems to work. Also this trailer is up properly on the apple trailers site now which I just saw and it looks set to be a excellent summer film
