Since Pluto is no longer a planet. I think Mickey should be the new one.

I would think Cars 2 could be quite funny. Imagine Mater trying to read a Japanese road sign... or fighting the scooters and roundabouts in Italy... I think seeing Mater go over one of those "musical roads" would be hilarious, too.

That is a really good point... that would be really funny. I just wonder if there would be enough of a story to hold those gags together. Like, maybe it would make a really funny montage sequence as a short, but I just don't know if they would have enough to make a feature....
Well, I guess we just have to have faith in Pixar at this point. I just really wish that we knew just tiny bit more of the plot...

I just saw UP - unlike the critics, I thought it was flawless. Unfortunately, Pixar they are is mostly competing with themselves at this point, and they have set a very high bar. Their ability to both tell a story and evoke the emotions of the viewer are nearly unparalleled in my opinion, and this is in a cartoon! I rarely see the same quality even in actual films.

I cryed when I saw UP, and my brother cryed all 3 times that he saw UP.

They ARE very good at evoking emotions.

There is no plan for an Incredibles 2 at this time. Brad Bird is busy working on 1906, about the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and his approval/interest is needed to make the film.

Same goes for a Finding Nemo 2. Andrew Stanton would be required to work on it and he is currently working on John Carter of Mars.

Essentially Pixar will not make a sequel without the blessing or participation of the original director. Cars 2 is happening because Lasseter is involved in the production with Brad Lewis (Ratatouille) as director, and to put it bluntly Joe Ranft is dead and can't object. Plus Disney fast-tracked it to help with the promotion of CarsLand at DCA.

well so far i'm pretty sure monsters inc. 2 and cars 2 (positive) are confirmed. i am not looking forward to cars 2 because i never liked cars, but that's just me. i know many did like it. i loved monsters inc. but i'm not sure where the sequel is going... but there should definitely be an incredibles 2 because they set themselves up for another with the mole villain guy drilling up and such..

Monsters, Inc. and The Incredibles are the two most underrated Pixar movies of all time. They never get any respect. I'm SO looking forward to Monsters, Inc. 2. I can't WAIT to see Boo! Biggest cliffhanger in all the Pixar movies.

I agree so much! I can never seem to find anyone that really liked Monsters and Incredibles as much as I but I really hope to see a sequel to Incredibles as well. Monsters, Inc. is probably my favorite Pixar movie. Well, actuallly it's a close tie with Toy Story
