Disney's worst films from the past decade
Over the past decade, it seems that Disney's films have really been on the decline, with at least a dozen klunkers hitting theaters. I started going over the list and cringing at the titles I was coming up with.
My question is simply this: Which of Disney's animated features from the past ten years could you have done without?
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

I picked Fantasia 2000 because it seemed like Disney animators were all sitting around one day and said, hey you know what would be stupid? Then they made Fantasia 2000. I have not watched it since the day i bought the dvd.

Fortunately, those primarily went straight to video, so I didn't include them. I only listed Disney's theatrical releases.

Treasure Planet didn't seem to bring about anything.

Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Lilo and Stich, Meet the Robinsons and especially Emperor's New Groove shouldn't even be on this list.

Simply the complete list of animated features since 2000. Nothing was removed if it was a box office success. Unfortunately, none of them were.

Does anyone know the reason why Disney had HUGE movies in the 90's, then went downhill so quickly? Just wondering.

But the question was about the quality of the films themselves. The one's I listed are not bad movies.

Changing tastes in the public. Pixar and Dreamworks came along and everyone thought that 2D was no longer viable. And while I loved some of the efforts Lilo, ENG, Atlantis, Treasure, you couldn't really compare them to the 90's effort. Though I maintain that anyone of the films I mentioned is miles better than Pochahontas.

I agree with this sentiment pretty much everything that was a 2 or 3 or sequel that was direct to video or dvd. And in theaters "Dinosaur" although spectacular looking bored me to tears !

the death of Frank Wells and Jeffrey Katzenberg leaving... that had a huge impact... amazingly the last movie that Katz was there from start to finish was The Lion King... he oversaw the beginning of Pocahontas and that was it...
