I would pay so much to see this:
YouTube - Goonies of the Caribbean
(I'd avoid the comments, they're unfortunately on the blue side.)

Good stuff
Prefer Davy J. myself. He was the only reason I even saw the third one, and then he ended up being emasculated half-way through by the East India tea-trading mafia. Reeeeeeeeally?
I'm going to see it mainly because Penelope Cruz is in it ;)
I do believe, however, that the reduced plot and reduced budget will be a major benefit for the start of the next trilogy. I'd attribute the monstrous budget and overworked script as to why they progressively got worse.

Right back 'atcha, 20K.
Chaaaa-chiiiiiing.
Why are all those idiots just cruising by? There's a FREAKING NAUTILUS ON THE ROAD!!!!
No doubt they would do the same even if James Mason was sunning himself between the fins.
A fair point. The lapse into the overblown CGI love-fest was a real stumbling block for me.
I liked the first one, disliked the second and walked out of the third...can't imagine i will bother seeing this one. Not a fan.
I've been to Mt. Dora. There's not really a mountain there but they do have a Walmart.
I'm excited for the next installment of POTC. I hope it's the birth of a new series of films. Capt. Jack could be the glue that binds them together, kind of like Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies.
I'm going to miss Kiera Knightly though. Especially after the scene near the end of the last one where she puts her booted leg up on the tree branch...hubba hubba ;), I'm a sap for ladies in boots.
I'll probably see it and I'll probably feel the same I did about S and the City 2, just fun to see the characters in action again. I'm not sure I'll see it in the theater but I'll watch it on DVD.
I'm afraid that the 4th installment is an example of trying to wring the last drop of profit out of the franchise. Pirate mania is pretty much over, let it go and work on something else.
It's kind of like how they installed "Idol" at DHS.
I'm just glad we appear to have sailed through the Pirates craze (if it is indeed over?) without the resulting Adventureland into Pirateland (or whatever) overlay that Tom Fitzgerald threatened.
