It was great
The entire theatre in Eugene just laughed hysterically when Jim Parsons showed up
The movie was amazing!! I laughed! I cried!
And yes, Sheldon Cooper as Walter's man version was great!! I laughed so loud!
I am going to see it, Happy Thanksgiving
Going to see it tomorrow. Can't wait.
Saw it today with my daughter. It was really good! Brought back memories of the original Muppet Show from the late 70's.
I feel like you hit on something very important here. It seems like this Muppet movie was more or less a movie for nostalgia sake. All the cameo appearances by actors, Krasinski, Jim Parsons, Emily Blunt, etc., and music (i.e. Cee Lo) made it accessible to teenagers/young adults. It's accessible to kids because purely because it's Muppets. All in all I liked the movie for all of the above reasons. Would I see it again in theaters? Yeah, probably. I've been telling people that it's cheesy, but cheesy in an endearing Henson way.
I had a big smile through the entire movie!
My wife kept insisting that she didn't want to see it because it looked dumb. All throughout holiday weekend so I was retweeting her reviews of it, which she would ignore. So we ended up seeing J. Edgar, which we both agreed would best be seen on TV for free.
Then late last night she admitted we should've gone to see the Muppets because she "heard it was really good" and she "read some awesome reviews of it"!
We will most likely have to wait until next weekend now.
Saw it on opening night and my wife and I both loved it. Definitely a return to form, but I want the Muppet Show revived. This movie is proof that it can/should happen, IMO.
If you haven't seen it yet. Drop everything and go now. It was the best movie of the year
Was expecting/hoping for more. I laughed a few times, especially at the more subtle humor. And I guess it didn't help that there were exactly 11 people in the theater, but no one laughed. I dozed off a bit in the middle and woke up just before the telethon happened. The beginning and end were great. Too bad someone forgot to write the midldle of the film.
I feel like you are the most negative person on this thread. Everytime I read your posts its a complaint...we're talking about the happiest place on earth on this thread, geez!
I just got back from seeing The Muppets and I can honestly say I was as giddy as a school girl through the whole thing. Nicely done incorporating old Muppets with newer, relatable material/people for newer generations to enjoy. I felt the humor was right on and that Jason Segal did it the justice it deserved. And yes, I would totally watch The Muppet Show if it returned to television. :yahoo:
Such a great movie! Saw it twice and bought the soundtrack. It got me into the Muppets for real as I only ever watched two movies by them, and that wasn't even one of their real movies. It was great, it made me laugh at every turn. My brother, who is not a disney fan, loved it.
