I saw it yesterday with my dad, brother and best bud from church. I thought it was pretty good.
I saw John Carter, and I quite enjoyed it. I did not go to a #D showing just the regular. I had never read the John Carter books, but Science Fiction is my favorite fiction genre, so take that for what it is worth. Too bad it did so poorly if it had done well its the type of setting that could have inspired a decent attraction, and as for "Barsoom" being Mars, you could obviously get around that with it being a "parallel dimension" or some other plot device along those lines.
The one good thing about it doing so poorly is it makes it easier to make a "clean brake" and move on to the next promising Science Fiction film, perhaps in an odd sort of way the failure of this movie will push the possibility of a Tron sequel/ Tron 3 towards the top of the list for anyone at Disney looking to do an SF movie
Despite negative press, John Carter was a GREAT movie. The ending was perfectly fit for a sequel, and it had me begging for more.![]()

I don’t think that the movie was a big hit because the income was much lower than the money spent for the movie.
niger seed great to feed birds in your garden.
I've watched john carter movie two times in theater with ma friends group..I really enjoyed the movie when i watched the movie first time..I'll give 8/10 rating to this movie..Nice casting...
I was lucky enough to see John Carter in a passholder preview. I liked it, and I'm not usually a big fan of
sci-fi movies. I was socked when I heard that the guy in charge of the movie got axed. I guess it lost a lot of money. Maybe they'll make it up in the DVD release. I'd watch it again.

What will you celebrate?
Adult daycare for the kid inside you.
I bought the 3d bluray version of it yesterday and watched it. I loved the movie. To me it was almost Stargate with a disney touch. More people should really watch this movie.
