I have seen brave, and it's okay not great but good. It's sentimental and I think would appeal to teenage girls. It looks very good, colorful!

I'm sorry you feel that way. But I know many people who enjoy Tangled (as well as Brave). Both are good movies

Re: Brave Reviews
Yeah, humor and slapstick. What a nightmarish combination.
Imagine if they had stooped to such tactics in Monsters Inc.

...I see what you did there...
I agree with Supernova that slapstick feels a little gimmicky and obnoxious, but Disney hasn't taken it to the level Dreamworks operates on. Yet. (Granted, I have still not seen Brave)

No comparison. Monsters, Inc was monsters living as people in the monster world. That wasn't slapstick. That was life. I am talking about horses living in the human world throwing headbuts and punches. See Tangled and you will catch on.
Really, Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

You mean like Pocahontas and Aladdin?

Re: Brave Reviews
It was monster life, but life all the same. And when you're dealing with the fictitious, you can take liberties. Horses do not give headbuts or punch people.

Hello
pizzaplaneteer here...
I thought Brave was actually better, that what the trailer previews shown. My mom actually stayed awake for the film, which is rare, when we go see films. She loved Tangled too.
I thought the rumor was after Tangled Disney was going to end the princesses, with Rapunzel being the last of the Disney Princesses? (calrification anyone?)
I was reading on some Pixar blog, or other, that there was in Brave, the Pixar hidden elements, such as the Pizza Planet truck from ToyStory, in the witches house, it was a wood carving but it was there whihc brings to mind the pizza planet truck does show up a lot in most pixar films.

There's a feed I follow online that is a daily screenwriting tip. I thought yesterday's was particularly applicable to this thread:
Screenwriting Tip #1042
If you’re going to graft the structure of a famous myth or legend onto your script, at least take the time to figure out why the original story is so emotionally powerful and enduring.

Yes, but Disney didn't create the story of Rapunzel.

Huh?!
I didn't realize Brave was a documentary. I thought it, too, was a fictional animated film.
