Still haven't seen the movie. Work has kept me so busy I've barely had time to breathe.
But I love that it is making cynics eat their words. There was so much negativity about this before it came out, before anyone knew anything about the movie at all.
But I guess some people will hate anything if it means they get to be contrary...
We thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Saw it when it first came out in the Theater. The songs "Let it Go" and "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" stuck in my head on the ride home. Later bought the Bluray to compliment my collection. Who would have known how huge the movie and the characters would have become?
I just hope Disney doesn't over do it with the Frozen craze. I am really hoping they don't re-theme Maelstrom to Frozen.
Just think if WDW execs would have green lit the pre-Frozen Ice Queen attraction an Imagineer developed that Jim Korkis mentioned on the Podcast a couple of months ago. It would be the current top ride at MK and, if placed in Fantasyland expansion area, the hub of the newer area.
I actually wouldn't mind the retheming so long as it's tasteful like they did in the Mexico pavilion. The ride will need an update someday and they have a franchise that complements the area. If they can keep in mind that this is the Norway pavilion and not the Frozen pavilion it will be fine.
Just saw, bought it on Apple. Liked it quite a bit. It will be itneresting to see hthe Once Upon a Time storyline.
Never kept up with that show. Tried to watch it a few times, but abc shows (save for Modern Family) have a cheap, campy feeling to them that keeps me from enjoying them.
If a film earns over $1 billion worldwide at the box office. If a film is the highest grossing animated film of all time. Then, yes it is a financial flop.
