    "Frozen"... the next Disney flop?

Just saw some stills for the movie. Haven't seen a preview yet. Heck, I didn't even know this was to be a movie. From the stills of the characters alone, I can't see this being any good. Looks like it's going to be a cross between Tangled and Brave. Overall, it looks more like a DreamWorks film over a Disney film.

    Rapunzel...?

Really Walt? Disneyland is MY land? Why would I want a silly little land when I can have the WORLD.

You're right. Matter of fact, all movies can be readily judged by production stills. I'm not even sure why they make trailers, or pay for all that advertising.

Cue HG coming in here slobbering all over you and telling you what a wise and educated consumer you are. She's quite the sycophant when it comes to others who spend their time on a WDW board ripping everything Disney.

Trailers have kept me away from awful films. I saw the coming attractions for 'Princess & the Frog' and I knew it would be bad. Tried watching it, turned it off. 'Tangled' looked awful. Was trapped on an international flight, gave it a shot, and was thankful that the touch-screens at the seat allowed for fast forwarding. Saw the trailer AND the stills for 'Brave', knew that one would be a waste of time. After being tricked by 'Frog' and 'Tangled', I'm not even going to bother.

No grand irony in you excoriating others for being "dumb tourists" because they're not interested in the Universal parks compared and contrasted to your above "not going to bother" statement, right?

More and more I wonder how many days until Lou shuts the forums part of this site down. vBulletin boards are expensive to maintain, and two of the five or six people who post here daily only do so so they can mindlessly rip to shreds the product Lou is making his livelyhood off of and tell each other how smart they are for doing so.

Just watched the 'Saving Mr. Banks' trailer. Wondering what sort of mass-market appeal it'll have. Strikes me as more of a made-for-Disney Channel than wide release.

Isn't it in a studio's best interest to release the most compelling trailers and stills possible?

I read somewhere (cannot remember for the life of me where that was...), that Merida from Brave was supposed to be the last Princess. I as the perfect age for The Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, and Aladdin, when they were first released...and I consider them to be part of my favourite movies of all time, but I think the Princess thing has been done and dusted. I wish Disney would released something that isn't Princess or Vehicle related...

I don't think Merida needs to be a princess so soon. These days, any female character becomes a princess. Great for marketing, bad for everything else.

Princesses definitely have their place as do the fairies. And yes they sell but geesch I wish there was some Disney diversity for little girls beyond damsel in distress needing a prince to save her. Blessed that my DD was OK with the Princesses but wasn't a bippity bobbidi ditz.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

Much to the chagrin of Disney. Guess they were never going to get your $100+ for the full treatment over at their boutique locations.

No Sir! And thankfully was never asked. What I never could wrap my brain around was Disney being forced to put an age cap on BBB treatments because so many grown women were taking up too many time slots. I can embrace my inner child while at WDW without sitting in a kiddie area having a princess make over.

Gearing up for the August release of Frozen, Princess Anna will be moving into Puffin's Roost, the shop inside Epcot's Norway pavillion.

Her meet and greet area will be set up in the original Perfume section (the Perfume has been moved to a larger area within the store.)

The reviews are awesome from the critics. A's, lots of stars and best Disney since Lion King.

    Didn't see this coming.
