Marty Sklar's "Dream It. Do It." - anyone else reading it?

I bought my copy back in late August and send the book to Marty Sklar for his autograph before I started reading it. I'm about half way through and, while I'm enjoying most of it, I do find myself having to skip sections.

Anyone else reading the book? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

I don't have that one, worth the purchase?
    Some people are like Slinkies.

They aren't really good for anything,
but they still bring a smile to my face when I push them down a flight of stairs.

What's nice is that Marty started off as a writer, so this is not an "as told to" book. The words are clearly his. I picked up John Hench's book some time ago and no matter how many times I read "I", "my" or "our", it was clearly written by someone else, using his thoughts and concepts. Marty write very well and the book flows nicely. Certainly worth a discounted purchase on Amazon or B&N.

I think for true Disney fans, this is one of the best. I enjoy the first-person accounts Marty is able to share.

Towards the end of the book, Marty includes a chapter about his "Red Ink Thank You Notes"... notes he wrote to Imagineering staff members thanking them for contributions to projects. People wound up hanging them in their office, and he included copies of some of the notes he had given out. Going through my collection, I realized that he had sent one to me, too. Nice to have an unofficial piece of Disney Imagineering!
