Non-Animated favorites?
Not a poll, because there are too many, but after seeing Pollyana last night, I was wondering what everyone here likes.
Mine would be:
Mary Poppins
Bedknobs & Broomsticks (in case you haven't noticed.
)
In Search of the Castaways
The Moonspinners
The Parent Trap (the original, although the new one isn't bad)

MARY POPPINS!!!!!
I *CANNOT* wait for this musical to cross the pond and come to Broadway. I have been waiting *years* to see Mary Poppins on the stage! Love it!
Others I enjoy:
The Parent Trap (original)
Escape to Witch Mountain
and I know I'm leaving out some...

Princess Diaries 2....
I loved the original Freaky Friday (with Jodie Foster), but can't recall if it was Disney (have to check with IMDB)
And the original Princess Dairies (but have not seen the new one)

Another one!
I forgot Candleshoe also!

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea.
It was a whale of a tale.
A cousin of mine, who lived right next door, had the album (yeah...vinyl...go figure...) of the story, and I think I just about wore it out for him! I LOVED that story! I was always told that it was a movie, but this was back pre-VCR (yeah...there was a time before home video...go figure...) so I'd never seen it.
I still remember it premiering on the NBC SATURDAY night movie of the week (NOT Sunday, the regular Disney night), and I remember the "big deal" that they made it...cartoon shorts, even a True Life Adventure. I was beyond excited for the entire week, and sat transfixed during the entire broadcast.
I still love it, and break out the DVD every now and again just to relive that feeling.

The Three Lives of Thomasina
I loved that movie when I was little!
That Darn Cat!

The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh - I first saw this on DISNEY'S WONDERFUL WORLD OF COLOR and loved it!!
Babes in Toyland - a wonderful movie with Annette!!!
The Absent Minded Professor
I know I'll think of more ........

Candleshoe
The Haunted Mansion (I really liked it and when I saw the singing ghost I wanted to go to WDW the nesxt day)
POTC
Freaky Friday (the newer one)

Wow, so many to choose from!
Of course, Pirates is a definate answer for a new Disney movie.
From the classics, I like: Mary Poppins, Song of the South (even though they both are partially animated), Parent Trap (original), Old Yeller, & 20,000 Leagues. But, my favorite is Treasure Island. Maybe it has something to do with those ol' Pirates!

Favorite non animated movies???? I had to think about this one for a few minutes. But here they are:
The Black Hole - I have a special place in my heart for this movie ever since my parents rented it for one of my birthdays MANY years ago. You had to order the movie about a week in advance back then. I had the coolest bday party on the block that year!
TRON - I loved this movie partially because I loved the arcade game. Also, what budding gearhead didn't love the light cycles scene?
Mary Poppins - I still like this movie even though my sisters wore out the VHS copy our parents had from playing it so much!!
Pirates of the Carribean - The scene where Jack is sailing his boat into the harbour, with the dramatic music playing, only to find out that the boat has sunk, is worth the price of admission!!!
That's all that I can think of right now. I'm sure more will come to me.

I HATE being back in the real world!!!!
