for those that make or want to make your own autograph books

at walmart in the craft part i seen lil books great for turning into autograph books.. the are in the part where the foam stuff is.. and the front and back cover are foam.. they are abour $3 but i figure with kids that foam would be durable...LOL they have foam there in the letters and stuff you could you or cut out your own.. i wish i had found them before i made tayen's for this trip

I was standing in line (at some point in my most recent trip) and a little girl had an autograph book that was homemade. I made a comment about "mom" being very creative, and the Mom said..."No, actually it was Grandma." Grandma had used just a regular, light colored school binder ( 5x8 or smaller) and decoraded it with ribbon and Disney Stickers. It looked really cute!

I saw the Wally World ones last nite while perusing the craft section. I would advise that if you are going to use the sticky shapes to decorate them. reinforce them with either some good craft glue or glue dots (so much quicker and easier---ZOTS ARE MY FRIENDS)

I am making one for Meghyn out of Fun Foam for her World Passport for Epcot. I made it out of cardstock last time and it got a bit ragged on the edges. This time I will be able to add a handle to look like a suitcase and a velcro dot strap to keep it closed (other problem I had) Oh! and I am doing the inside of it out of lightweight cardstock. We had a problem with plain paper of the ink stamps they use bleeding thru. That is a July or so project , gotta catch up on all the others first. LOL

LOL... yep the extra glue would be a must... anything like a sticker my daughter pulls off. we put the disney princess wallies up in her room and she pulled the lower hanging ones off! i was miffed..

I went to wally world in search of one...but alas - none to be found..but I did not come up empty handed! I found a baby book/ tag book on discount for 2 bucks - took it home, covered it with cardstock, and a plastic page protector, added a bow, a book mark (beads read "Riley -heart- Mickey", and crafted a mickey head out of old cardstock....TA DA...a custom autograph book for under 2 bucks!!!!

Thanks - it was really fun and really easy - I'm thinking about making paper piecings of different characters for each of the pages....My little man loves it - he made me sign my name on the front page - i asked him why he wanted mommys name and he said "cuz you is pinsess ma-ma" (because you are a princess mama)
