Trying this for the first time -- Spectromagic

Hi everyone. I am new on DWT and I have really enjoyed your ideas. This is my first attempt at uploading pictures. I hope it works. I used basic black cardstock for this two page layout and embossed the "pixie dust" around the edges with gold glitter. I was really happy with the way it turned out.

OMG those pages are absolutley gorgeous!!!!! i have never embossed before but i absolutley love what yu did! my sisters went a few months ago and this is those pictures are the only ones i havent been able to do! thanks for the ideas and wonderful job !!!!

What a great layout. The pictures are so good (which always helps). Are you the photographer too?

Did you do the pixie dust free hand or did you have a template? It is really beautiful.

Thank you. The emossing was done basically freehand, copying from a picture that I saw on a card. The Spectromagic was copied from a float in the parade. It was actually easier that I thought it would be. I just did small sections at a time and used the chisel tip of an embossing pen. I actually have to give credit to my 6-year-old daughter for the pictures. Since she was a kid, she was able to move to the front of the crowd and get an unobstructed view. Parade pages have always been the hardest for me to figure out because you can get so many great pictures and have such limited space to squeeze them in.
