Amanda's squirrel obsession!

Gae and I thought Amanda would really appreciate a thoughtful, personal, handmade card featuring her favorite cuddly little animal. So I put my thinking cap on and came up with this....



She apparently received it yesterday and wasn't feeling the love.

Well I wasn't having Kerry do that for you....it was for the mailer I sent to Stacy, but I'm SO HAPPY to hear that your's arrived!!! Boy that Jacknife has good taste! Soooooo???? What did you think of it? I worked very hard on it AND just so you know.....Gae made me do it! As soon as I told her I had a squirrel on my Animal Kingdom cartridge it was over!

Let me tell you between my DH, my mom, and my dad I was QUITE the source of amusement last night. My parents don't know about your card, but they were laughing about something else. Y'all are nuts. DH is still laughing.

You people do realize this has been going since October 2006? And the people of DWT have latched onto these incidents and formed a site wide conspiracy, which apparently includes my DH, against me. I've been getting squirrel picture emails, squirrels in my PM box, I got a squirrel Christmas ornament in the swap, and I've gotten squirrel nut zippers candy....now I get to add a very well made hand made squirrel Valentine's card to the list! For the love of God people if you insist on sending my squirrelly and nut related things, send along some Girl Scout cookies called Tagalongs as well. My last book was commandeered by a squirrel last year!!!

As for the card itself, it's very well done!! I'm impressed Melissa. I've been impressed with scrapbooking every since I saw April make Tracy a scrapbook our their WDW trip in 2005. Although, I'm not sure I want to know what "squirrel love" means on the inside of the card.

I was told of the card after it was made. I thought it was hilarious but Melissa is on her own here! See- I'm not from Michigan or Delaware.... so this card had nothing to do with me! I will admit to sending some squirrel nut candy or something like that but I had nothing to do with the ornament swap. I think I have found a few pictures and I have a great avatar that I could use...

Yes, the first squirrel invasion occurred in October 2006. I made the mistake of posting about it in the old RT thread, and then several of you latched onto this and kept running and running and running and running with it......to the point that occasionally newbies will ask me "what's with the squirrel thing?"

Love the squirrel card! Oh yes, the squirrel thing occurred way before my time here so I have only known Miss MandaBella as the squirrel lady. Although at some point along the way I learned the reasoning behind it.
