DVC question

we recently joined DVC with 200 points..does anyone have any suggestions and do you think 200 points is a good amount??

Only you can answer the question whether 200 points is a good amount for you. For some that is too little, for others it is too much. Where did you purchase? And what time of year and size of accomodations are you likely to use the most? Those were our deciding factors in determing how many points to purchase as well as the cost of dues.

Are you looking for specific suggestion? Sometimes there is a general consensus within the DVC online communities about using your membership, but I personally don't always agree with that.

as of now we are going to use the studio and eventually we will be going to the one bedroom....we go to disney about 4 times a year...maybe 5

One good thing is that you can always borrow next years points if you're short. We have 160 and for us we usually bank one year and use a current. Our next trip in Dec. 2008 may be a bank, use, and borrow trip. We'll have to see!

If You have 200 points and go 4 to 5 times a year, You will have to keep Your trips short and make sure they are from sunday to thursday, because they are the lower points days. also keep looking to book in the resorts that use the lower amounts of points per day. Staying at OKW for 5 days in the months that use the month can cost You 40 points. Do that 5 times and there is You 200 total points right there. It takes some planning, the points can go fast. But it is a fun part of the club, the planning. Good Luck and WELCOME HOME!!!
