Future DVC resort near Washington D.C.?

So, saw a link to a Washington Post story...

Disney buys 15 acres of land less than 10 miles from the Capitol. The article says they plan to build a resort hotel.

Think it will be DVC?

Yes, I would be suprised that it was not a combo resort like Hawaii.

Hmm a resort only 45 minutes away from me? Seems pretty cool to me! I wonder If they'll purchase more land close by to build the unbuilt Disney's America...

I'm really excited about this news! Can't wait to see what comes of this. DC is a nice spot for a vacation, so doing it Disney-style would be awesome!

I am all for a DC DVC resort. But I have some concerns about the location though. Maybe some of you local DC folks can answer this...I ask this question based on the fact that I was stationed at Bolling AFB from 1996-2001 and am in no means trying to start anything, just some would like some clarification. When I was living in that area( actually on Bolling AFB), IMO it wasn't the greatest or safest of areas around DC. Has this changed over the last few years?
