No more free valet parking for DVC members

It has been reported that members are no longer eligible to receive free valet parking at DVC resorts.

WHAT!!!!! That is my favorite perk! I always park at Beach Club when I go to Epcot and even sometime MK! It's bad enough I don't get towels every day and now this!

In case anyone isn't sure, this is being confirmed by Member Services. No reasons as to why, but DVC needs to negotiate all their perks with the providers, and I believe valet services was outsourced some time ago. Given the rather abrupt end without notice, I'm guessing a last minute deal fell through.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but this doesn't bother me. Every company is having to find ways of cutting costs these days... if it wasn't valet, it would have been something else. Like maybe an even higher maintainance fee increase than the one we're going to get.

I'm cool with that.

I'm a member yet I've never used the perk. I guess I just like to have my keys, know exacty where my car is, and be able to come and go when I need to, no matter what time of day or night.

I am not the type that "has to have" that sort of thing, but did use it, mostly when at BWV. I can certainly do without it if need be, but it was a nice little perk.
