Can you use a Travel Agent?

Can you use a travel agent to book your vacation for you if you are using DVC points? If the DVC shareholder books the vacation, is it worth getting a travel agent to book the airfare and park tickets and make dining reservations? I know with DVC there isn't any additional perks like discount codes or whatever that a travel agent can really help us out with.

I don't think you'll find much advantage in it, if you know how to do it effectively yourself. They might be able to get you the best deals for airfare, etc. if you are flexible, but I don't believe you'll get any sort of discounts through them. You might get a modest discount on the tickets (which might counter their fee), but you can get better deals via newsletters like Mousesavers.

I tried this myself twice and it was no benefit. If you shop your own airfare its much better. Also as I side note, I found out if you buy airfare through Priceline, you get a email later for ridiculously low rental car prices. I tried and couldn't get a car for 18.00 a day but after purchasing flight tickets I got it for 13.00 a day. Your DVC member can get you a discount on meal plans I think (it was mentioned once to me when I rented points)
but I don't eat but maybe one or two meals in the parks. We always buy prepaid cards for Olive Garden and Red Lobster etc...
