Old Key West

I'm going to be staying at Old Key West this June, and I was wondering what people's opinion of this resort is.

At OKW you feel like you could live there year round, not just staying at a nice hotel for a week. The rooms are larger than the other DVCs. The decks are larger and you might have a nice golf course view.

Been a member since 92. Can't say anything negative about it. It is a great resort with the largest rooms on property The colors are tropical you feel like you were just tranformed into paradise. You will love.it. The only problem is leaving

I literally just got back from my stay at OKW on Saturday. This was our second time staying there. Like everyone else said, the rooms are HUGE compared to other DVC resorts. We happened to stay in the Grand Villa, and let me tell you, that thing is GRAND! Its very peaceful and quiet, and obviously beautiful. The only thing that i dont really like is that there are multiple bus stops within the resort (because its so huge), which can be a pain if your stop is the last one. Also, it was kind of annoying that the Hospitality House (which includes the front desk and general store) are kind of far away from the rooms. But other than those things, i really love the resort! My mom has determined that its probably her favorite because of the room size

I'm glad that there are such good reviews. I've heard mixed things about the rooms being old, run down, and dirty. I've only ever stayed at value resorts and greatly enjoy those, so I think a DVC would be a wonderful improvement either way.
