Anyone planning an Aulani Trip?

My husband and I booked just a normal hotel at Aulani for September 7th through the 13th of 2011. Since we aren't DVC members, but I was just curious if anyone else is going at this time, or if anyone is planning a trip to the Hawaiian resort.

Went to Hawaii on our honeymoon 21 yrs ago. I hated the long flight. But we're in the early phases of planning to go back so we can stay at Aulani. Probably not until 2012 though.

were going for our 10 yr anni.. this being our 7th anni.. i have a few years...lol 8th anni is disneyland

Aww sad times!!! Next year will be our 2nd Anniversary in March, but we aren't going anywhere until September!

Completely random note but we added a rental car to our Aulani Reservation today as now it was available on their website, and it was only $300 for the entire week for a convertible. Not bad in my opinion!

However, they mentioned that we will soon be able to book our excursions and a "meal plan." Kinda curious how the meal plan will work!

My wife and I were planning on going on for our 25th anniversary. I had a question that started bouncing around my little brain housing group....I wonder if there would be some kind of dining plan available for the Aulani resort?

Once I find out more about the meal plan and book I will post! However, I'm just very amused by the option of a dining plan in Hawaii!

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences here. We hope to go there in May/June 2013 if we can manage to book in the 7 month window (fingers crossed). My oldest DD is graduating from HS so we are trying to take her there to celebrate!
