I loved this part:

The way that I would describe Aulani is that is not a Disney hotel with a touch of Hawaii. I feel that it is a Hawaiian hotel with a touch of Disney.

It's a great hotel. We stayed there 3 weeks ago (we are not DVC members) and can't wait to go back. It's very classy with just the right amount of Disney.

I don't have points there, but sure wish we can stay there. I agree... it's Hawaii with alittle Disney. We are east coasters, and the cost of flying a family of 6 there is cost prohibitive. so we will do a one time trip... can't wait

We're in the same boat! I always kinda figured Hawaii would be a once in a lifetime thing for me anyway

For us, its different. We live 5 minutes away from Aulani, and its what drought us into the DVC world. We realy cant get enough of the place, and it has kind of set the bar now for us, as far as resorts go. We have never been to Florida, but if all those DVC resorts are anything like Aulani, it should be worth the flight.
