DVC Member Updates

Some DVCers that just returned from the member cruise are reporting the following information for us DVCers:

-SSR will get a table service restaurant
-There will be another member cruise in 2006 - Oct 22, 4 day
-You can now use points for the FT Wilderness Campground campsites (6 pts a night)
-We will be getting a 10% (I think) discount at disneydirect.com
-DDP will soon be available for DVC members
-They are really and truly working on getting our points, etc available via the web

ALSO, I noticed this trip that when you use your room key to charge something at a place that allows DVC discounts, the discount
was taken automatically without my having to ask for it and show my card.

This looks promising, especially the 10% discount at Disney Direct since we lost the 10% at the Disney Stores and the points via the web!

As always, take this information with a grain of salt. I haven't seen DVC actually verify any of this yet.

Yea!!! this one is a long - long - time coming....

or did the Food server just notice the DVC member on your card....

I always forget to ask for these discounts... so I have only gotten the restuarant ones a couple of times...
oh is the meeting still at SSR on Wednesday at 4:00pm - going next week and I want to stop by....
