The Goat Trick on Thunder Mountain

Hey Disneylanders.....

Some of you may have heard of this, others may have not, if you are sitting towards the back of the train, when you go down the second drop and you see a goat chewing a stick of dynamite, fix your view on the goat and watch it the whole way around the curve, it will make you feel 10 times heavier. It's pretty interesting and you should try it!

I have yet to try it at WDW, I will this time and report back, however at DL this works! I have had all my friends and family try it. Just watch the goat the all the way around the curve! I heard about his at least 10 years ago and have been doing it since.

I tried this at WDW and the goat is in a total different position it is off to your right but you go left so it almost breaks your neck lol!! At DL if you fixate your view on the goat to your right you can do it becuase your train goes right, make sure you stare at the goat the whole away around the curve, you do feel heavier...its crazy!!

I tried it and it really doesnt feel any different.... seriously lol ive done i several times too with no difference!

I tried it, too, last week. The goat is in a different location than DL and you have to look backward away from the momentum of the curve, so it doesn't work at WDW MK.

I read this back in like 98 on an old school forum on AOL, could have sworn it was true, it always seemed to work for me!

well it doesnt currently work, maybe that changed it during the time disney had tons of problems with tthe ride breaking down and the death on the ride....
