So I got this book for graduation called "Little Known Facts About Well Known Places: Disneyland" and it has a few, questionable at best, facts.

Here's one for example...

By The Numbers: 78 Million: pairs of Mickey Mouse ears purchased between opening day and Disneyland's 50th anniversary in 1995.

I wish I was making this up

There's plenty of other things in this book, too.

To encourage guests to buy sweatshirts and warm clothing, the Disney Clothiers, Ltd. store is kept several degrees cooler than other shops on main street

But the 50th anniversary of Disneyland wasn't in 1995... That would make Disneyland opening in 1945 which it didn't

Totally didn't catch that part. You're right, though!

And I was actually expecting to hear a higher number than 78 million. Maybe I was overestimating...

As soon as I read it I realized that. Now I don't know whether or not to believe anything else in it.

It could easily just be a typo. Perhaps one not even made by the author. Some typos happen at the publishing house, and the author had nothing to do with them. You could send an email to the book's publisher and let them know they have some typos in the book that hurt its credibility.

That's a good idea. There's some other things that are just obscure in that book, too. Like off the wall trivia that when you think about, you have the first thought of "Yeah right"
