There's a take-out counter at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DTD that serves an excellent gumbo. I also suggest the beignets and cafe au lait. At the LA Farmers Market (near Hollywood) there's a place called The Gumbo Pot that serves the best gumbo and po' boys outside of NOLA.
