Aww, that's a cute picture. I sometimes wish I could live in Disneyland/World. Then I remember that their hotels don't get Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network.
It's actually on top (or in?) a fire department!![]()

Here's an article from the Orange County Register with a 360 degree tour of Walt's Apartment with a little bit of commentary when you click on the Mickey's.

“To all who come to this happy place; welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past...and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts that have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”![]()
When we camped out on Main Street for the premiere, we sat right in front of Walt's apartment...I got to watch the candle in the window all day. It was really neat.

Both times I went down Main Street - made me sad with the candle always being lit. But happy sad.
There is also an apartment built in the WDW castle for Walt and his family but it was never used so it was briefly used for telephone operators and I dont know of the rooms use today.![]()

That National Geographic photo was the first look the public got of Walt's apartment. This was published in August, 1963.
One of the prizes in Disneyland for Year of a Million Dreams is a tour of Walt's appartment. I would love to live that, but I won't be going there this year.

I do not think it has been remodeled. A hotel room in the Disneyland Hotel has been redone.... I highly doubt Disney would touch walt's appartment.......

ya walts apartment is exactly the same as it was when he left it.... and they always keep his lamp lit becuz walt used to have it lit when he was there to let ppl know that walt was in the park, so they keep it lit all the time because they believe that walt's spiriit lives in disneyland
you can find a video of walts apt. It looks really nice. you know walt would only have the best for himself and his family.
Wow talk about bringing to life an old thread! Still, I'm going to correct the original statement at the top that the attached is the "only" photo. I've seen a few others, one in particular was featured on a Disneyland Behind the Scenes show that aired on HD Theater last week (which also included additional images as they were allowed to bring their cameras in).
Sometimes all you need is a reminder that out there lies a better place... a better world... a Walt Disney World.
