Wine & Dine Half Marathon

I'm 6'1" and 230 lbs...so I don't have a "prototypical" runners body. My first half marathon was this year's WDW Half Marathon, and it was an awesome experience. Just start off slow in your training...I programmed nothing but 3-3.5 minute songs in my iPod and ran in intervals. First, I ran for two songs, then walk for one, etc...worked great for me.

I signed up for the Wine and Dine, and am looking forward to it this year! I hope your training is going well!

DisneyGuy87- You are crazy!! I kid you not, my goal is double yours...2:30 LOL~

Wine & Dine Half Marathon (invidual and team) are at 65% capacity as of today. So, if you haven't signed up and you want to do the race, you better get registered pretty soon.

De you know how long it been since I have been here?? Hi all, I am going to be doing the Wine and Dine Half. It is possible to walk these races too!

I am 70 percent sure I will be (but have yet to register)

I have three little guys at home and it would be a trip for me a buddy. I always feel guilty going to Disney without my children and wife!

This looks to be a good goal to stay focused on and keep job stress low!

Race/after party reports anyone??

Can't wait to hear all about it! I missed be able to do this race:no: I did the Princess in March and had a blast..If this marathon sticks around I'll get to do it eventually.

My boyfriend and I are coming in October to run the 1/2 marathon. This is my 2nd Disney event (did the Princess Half last year), but his first 1/2, so we're very excited. I've been running long-distance since 2007 but I am so excited to do this race with him! Can't wait to hear everyone's progress! Good luck training.

Just registered my DH and I. Running the relay together!!!

This year's Wine and Dine will be my fifth runDisney Half. I look forward to meeting some new (and seeing some old) friendly faces.
