How much time for packet pick up for the WDW Marathon

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help. Running my first 1/2 this January and I just signed my daughter up for the Mickey Mile on Thursday so it look like I may have to lose about 1/2 a day of park time to go to Wide World of Sports.

This being my first race I have no idea what to expect. How much time should I plan for picking up my race packet, my daughters race packet and my families Cheer Squad packages? I'm envisioning epic Disney types of lines. I'd like to get there around 1 or 1:30 but my confirmation says I have to pickup my daughters packet by 2:30 for the race at 4:30.

How much time do I need and how crazy does it get? I've heard Thursday is usually the quietest of the days at the Expo, but some tips would be appreciated.

It's usually really busy at first. I've been pretty lucky at not having to wait too long to get my packet. If you plan on going to the expo part to look around and shop allow at least an hour if not 2. You'd be surprised how long you can end up there.

Get your daughter's packet first around 2:30 then spend the time looking around at the expo and eating before her race at 4:30.
