He won't win the MVP or be voted into the Hall of Fame........then again, some heroes don't play games.

I worked out yesterday but I felt ill all day today. So I didnt' even glance the kbs way. However, I did a lot of stretching while trying to get out of bed. Does that count????
Played an hour of soccer. I was running all of these drills, of shooting, dribbling, and control. And then played 15 minutes of basketball.(Non-stop) Gotta say, that was an AWESOME work out and I can't wait to try out for my school team!
Oh, yeah, that was last night, sorry forgot to post it!

Actually worked out tonight, did my 200 swings, some presses and 100 snatches with Nat, trying to get used to the gloves, those really take the feel of the bell away. Only going to wear those for snatches until my hand is 100% better, then I will go back to bare hands.
That's the spirit, Caroline. You want to be "in touch" with the iron as much as you're able.
I've been trying something out at morning KB sessions with the group that I've been liking immensely. I've divided the guys into two groups. While one works, the other rests and gets ready for their turn. This has solved both the issue of limited iron to go around, as well as having uniformity when it comes to break lengths. What we've been doing lately is having them swing and snatch on the clock. I'll call anywhere from 30 seconds to a couple minutes, and when I say go, I start the time, and they get to work. This has allowed people of different levels of conditioning to get in all the good reps they're capable of, without having to stick with any given count. I stress to them to try to ignore numbers all together, and just do as much quality work as they can in the length of time they've got.
Just as soon as I call time, the 'bells are parked, the next group steps up, and I hand off the stopwatch to someone who just wrapped up so I can hop in myself. There really is nothing else in the world like watching your charges getting harder and stronger every day. Makes me wish I had this job a long time ago.
I did some work yesterday and did more today. I need to add some more swings to the routine but right now, something is better than nothing. I hope to do some swings to work off my lunch later! Hopefully my behind will get smaller and smaller! lol
Tryouts start the 15th. SO NERVOUS. This past week I have been working on my soccer skills, and my family said that I have definitely improved! SO PSYCHED...and nervous, but yay!

Keep at it, Gae--remember, when in doubt, Providence is always a goodie.
I'm willing to bet the next rent check that you'll do more than fine when the 15th rolls around, Bri.
On my end, I probably should've mentioned it earlier, but it's been three months. Monday morning is the next PFT. Three mile sand run in boots and long pants, obstacle course, 200 meter full uniform swim, bodyweight bench press, bodyweight squats, and pullups with 45 pounds of added weight. Time to find out if I've been able to make any improvements.
At last the garage gym is finished (except i want a carpet out there now!)
So here is a guided tour of the new place (starting with a before photo).

Cool gym Fiona! Does Kitty hang around there or inside the house? Are the kids weights actual weights?
Lovin' the St. George's Cross hung behind the bike. Very nice touch.
Chris seems a pretty solid bloke--in all seriousness, is that enough weight you've got available for the bench to give him a challenging load? As always, high-rep "to the burn" weightlifting is something I strongly believe should be avoided like the plague (if he's got the time, I've got a book handy I'd like him to check out).
As I'd hoped, that does look like a pretty good rower you've got. Log some good kilometers on there for us!
Seems as though you've done great with what you've got, Fiona. Just remember that a true garage gym is never really "finished," which is a pretty cool thing, actually.
