Kitty is still living in the house, i like having him close by for a few swings when the mood takes me.
The kids weights are real, they are a very hard foam that gives the kids something to work with, Alex now wants the kids exercise bike in the range Fitness4kids - Outdoor Toys Direct

I think chris will be increasing the weights on the bar as soon as i am confident i could lift them off him should he ever have a problem, but having never dealt with weights like that before i'm needing a little more confidence to be safe.
He's got some posters that came with the exercise bench, but he said he'd be glad to listen to anything you think is worth reading. (i might bully him into joining DWT even if it just for the gym)

Its 8.33am, i've already done 25 swings, want to get another 50 done, then the KB will be rested for a day as i'm being s.ucked by the platelet vampires in 2 hours. I guess some time on the bike wont put any strain in my arm, so thats the plan for later

You are doing AWESOME, Mum. Yay, Chris should come join! I am very very proud of all of this.

Sorry folks, been very busy. Still been practicing for try-outs this week, though. Will update with how I do this Wed.

So Jake, how did today go? Did all those double snatches and ring work pay off?

I need to get off my butt and get back to work.

    Okay, since you asked.

Run--20:49 (seems the older I get, the better I was.....)
    O-course--6:00 flat (ditto)
Swim--5:28 (personal best; seems all the hours spent coaching other guys in the pool this cycle paid off for ME)
Bench press--195 lbs. 22 times (managed to put on five pounds since last cycle, but obviously didn't matter any)
Squats--195 lbs. 58 times in two minutes (command record so far)
Pullups--15, with 45 lbs. of added weight

I'm sure glad that's over until November.

    Congrats, Jake! Nice numbers.
I got back on track today. After 2 week break due to being on vacation, and then being sick for a month, it felt good to get back in the pool. Of course, I really felt the workout. I wish they had more than 1 water aerobic class a week. I am back to riding my bike for 30 minutes each morning. Yeah me!
    mini-V What will you celebrate?

Got my workout done with early today, 200 swings and about 40 snatches. Now I can relax.

I set up a time with two other instructors to go exercise in the Wellness Center. But that won't start for about 2 weeks.

Well....ba da baaaa, I made it through day 1!

There are about 80 girls, who will be divided into JV and Varsity. There is no Freshman team this year, and yes some of these Freshman are good. There will be, the most, 20 girls on each team. Hopefully, I will make one of the teams.

Today was actually really easy. It has shown me that I am not in shape, but not out of shape. We did our warm-up(which I gotta say has always been long and sometimes brutal), we then did timed races. Went down to the track, ran a mile and a half, and a 400. The mile and a half, I am upset about, started off at a slow pace and then picked it up too late.(I didn't do bad, finished in the top 15 girls, but once again that can be one spot taken on a team) In the 400, I did much better.Beat the time requirement by 11 seconds, and finished in the top girls.) We then did suicides, time requirement=45 seconds, finished first in my group and got a 30. We then dribbled a little, did some moves. Then onto scrimmages(6 on 6). Did okay in that. Had to pass the ball, constant movement, and get five passes to score. Then switched over to ladders, and did all types of footwork, six times. Then went back to scrimmaging, got a little more difficult. Then took a lap around the field.

AND THAT'S IT. Easy day, harder tomorrow.

    Day 2-

We got to touch the balls more today--thankfully.

    1)Ran our warm-up, then stretched
2)There were cone drills and an "obstacle course"(sprinting, ladders, etc.). I got to play goalie(I am a goalie, too!), so I played goalie for the drills. Did that two times(30 minutes all together)
3)Ran over and did some 1 on 1.(I scored on each person, and won every game.) --Did that for half our--
    ..got water..
4)Went back and did some more 1 on 1, this time with a different method.(Won every game, again)(30)
5)Then did some 2 on 2, won all five games.(30)
6)Did some more 2 on 2, but this time had to use the method of doubling up on a person. Won 5, lost 1(25)
    7) Then ran some suicides, which my stomach didn't enjoy, but finished very well.
    8)Stretch/water

    ....and that's it!

While I was goalie, my coach said good job..while 1 on 1 she saw me totally confuse this girl, do a move, and then score, and she complimented me. And on the 2 on 2, I made a couple good passes and coach saw.

Very happy with my performance today!
