Maybe do a sized down auction and maybe pass around a donation can. Then that way if people don't have the $$ to bid maybe at least they would give $5 or $10 to the cause. I was going to suggest a 50/50 but I think you may have to have a small game of chance license in PA to do that. In my area most non-profits sell tickets of some sort or have a bake sale. I still like the idea of doing some Ebay auctions.

I agree on having a "donation" can, maybe on the auction table so those who can't afford to bid that high can still contribute...I meant to give straight up cash when my few bids lost, but never got back around to it...had there been a can, maybe I would've done it without having to bother anyone....maybe, maybe I'd've never gotten to that either. I think a donation can is a good idea...

UPDATE: As of June 8, 2007, we were notified that the Starlight Starbright Foundation will no longer be granting "wishes", as they have done in the past. That being said, the Dream Team Project will continue and are actively and immediately seeking another charitable outlet.
