As you may have seen in my other thread, I am taking my 5 year old son for his first trip to WDW this summer. I have a couple of questions for anyone who might have experience in these areas-
1) Matthew would love to join in the dancing/conga line at Festival of the Lion King. Does he have to sit down the front and wait to be choosen or do they ask for volunteers? He is very confident and wouldn't need to be asked twice!
2) Has anyone done the Jedi training thing at DHS? Is it worth doing, and do we need to sign up really early?

Answers to these and any other suggestions would be great. I get that Disney has to pay off the investments they've put into the property and maintain profit margins, but so much of this leaves me scratching my head.

For one: MK tickets are $5 more per day than the other parks? Because it's better? Why doesn't that structure go all the way down the line then? Make Epcot $90. Make DAK tickets $75...

Also, at that price structure there's no way I could justify going less than 4 days or more than 5. Disney parks have been making headlines all week, but it wasn't news of typical Disney magic.Earlier this week at Disneyland in California, a small explosive was found in a trash can. A cast member was later arrested on suspicion of possessing an explosive device. Walt Disney World in Florida is also having their fair share of incidents this week as well.

On May 29, 2013, a guest at Disney's Animal Kingdom park found a loaded gun on the seat of the popular Dinosaur rideper a report by Doctor Disney. The gun was turned into a cast member who contacted park security and the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The owner, Angelo Lista told authorities the gun fell out of his back pocket while on the bumpy ride and that he did not know that weapons were not allowed in the park. Lista was asked to leave the park for the day and was escorted out by deputies.
Disney's website clearly states that all weapons are prohibited on property. Official's also called this incident "rare" because it's common knowledge that they are not permitted.
In a separate incident, two men were arrested and charged with grand theft at Disney's Boardwalk Inn. The Drinks Business reports that tourists Donald Rossi, 33 and Michael Kulesza, 38, stole a golf cart and and went on a drunken joy-ride forcing other Disney visitors to jump out of the way.
According to a police report the two men were laughing, yelling and shouting as they drove past the resorts shops and restaurants. The driver, Donald Rossi was holding one beer and the passenger had two beers. It is also reported that the two men apologized profusely all the way to jail.

Some attractions have started to come back online while other ones appear to still be off-line.

Guests are scrambling for answers but for the moment nobody is talking. They have put out activity tables in front of many of the closed attractions. Will be interesting to see how much of this is accurate verses speculation when the dust settles.
