However, then we found out we would be making another trip in March and decided to become Annual Passholders!! We were super excited about being able to park hop, the discounts we will receive, and the dining discounts. However, then the 4th quarter AP discounts hit and we discovered that we were paying rack rate for our Port Orleans room. So, we decided to switch. We are now getting 42% off a Wilderness Lodge room (it does come with bunkbeds, but we really don't care). We could not believe how good of a discount this was and as this is my first stay at a deluxe resort and my husband's favorite to stay at. So, we are super excited about our trip and we keep talking about little things to keep from going crazy. I feel like these last couple of weeks are the worst (however, the last time we were getting this close, I was also worrying about a wedding, so I wasn't as worried about Disney). I just want to get there, but when I do, I don't want it to go too fast. I'm so excited to be within the 6 month mark and can start planning and making reservations!!

So, we are arriving on a Saturday morning and will be having dinner at Chef Mickey's that evening at 5:45pm. To celebrate our first night in WDW, we are planning on hanging around the MK area to watch Wishes afterwards. It starts at 8pm that night according to the calendar.

My question to you all is, where should we watch Wishes? Obviously I would love to be able to hear the music, and we will have access to the monorail since we are dining at the Contemporary. We are staying off-property so we will be driving over the Contemporary from our rental home. So, somewhere at the Contemporary or on the monorail loop is best.

What do you think? Where should we watch? 2011 Walt Disney World Discounts released

As we reported on Saturday, Disney has released discounts for 2011, including select dates for Free Dining.

On Magic Your Way packages of 4 nights or longer you can receive free dining on the following dates:

10/1/10 - 10/7/10, 10/22/10 - 10/28/10
11/12/10 - 11/18/10, 11/27/10 - 12/2/10
12/10/10 - 12/21/10
1/1/11 - 1/5/11, 1/9/11 - 1/13/11, 1/21/11 - 2/3/11
2/11/11 - 2/17/11, 2/25/11 - 3/3/11
5/27/11 - 6/2/11
8/19/11 - 9/29/11

If you are booking a Value resort, you'll receive the Quick Service dining plan. Those staying at moderate or deluxe resorts will receive the regular dining plan.

Booking codes for these plans are HJ2 for the Value resorts and JL6 for the Moderate and Deluxe resorts (including Deluxe Villas).

Disney has also added a "Free Gift Card Promotion" for select dates as well. If you book a Magic Your Way Package between 10/3/10 and 11/23/10, 11/27/10 - 12/25/10 and 1/11/11 - 2/16/11 you'll receive a Disney gift card worth up to $500. ($200 at the Value resorts, $300 at the Moderate resorts and $500 at the Deluxe Villas.)

There are also "Room Only" discounts available 10/3/10-11/23/10, 11/27/10-12/25/10 and 1/1/11-2/16/11 at up to 40% off rack rates.

I need your help once again.
Trip is all booked and flights are all booked, now we are up to the ADR's
I'm starting my spead sheet for our trip so I know what days we'll be in which park, so I can book the Character Meals as well as dinner reservations.

So my question is which day of the week is it best to avoid a certain park?
I was told back a few years ago stay away from MK on Saturdays and Sundays because a lot of locals go at that time. But I could use some help.
we are going Wednesday to Wednesday, and 1 of the days we are going to Sea World. We were thinking Friday or Monday for Seaworld. And our only other day we have already down is Sunday, for some reason we always go and spend Sunday at Epcot, sort of our tradition..., any help? I have a couple questions in regards to my family's next Disney trip.

We were really hoping to be able to go this coming up September but my dad is in construction and work for him has been so unpredictable for him this past year that we never really know when he'll be working steadily. So instead of booking our vacation months in advance like we normally do, this time we're just buying everything as we are able to save the money up, and when everything is bought we get to pack up and go. That way we won't have to make payments on anything if work gets slow for my dad and money gets tight.

We finally saved up enough money for our Disney tickets-- 10 day MYW with park hopper and water park options. I went ahead and bought those last week since I knew ticket prices were rumored to go up. Those alone cost over $1800 so it's a big relief to know we don't have to worry about them now. We still need our airfare, hotel (we plan on splitting the stay between POR and the Poly), SeaWorld tix, Islands of Adventure tix (we're dying to see WWoHP), and MNSSHP tix if by some slim chance we are able to make it this fall.

We have the money saved up for WWoHP and almost enough for SeaWorld. Does anyone know if these tickets are the same as Disney and are valid at any time once you buy them? I'm posting this because I need everyone's help. My sisters-in-law have never been to Disneyland and I recently discovered an opportunity for my husband and I to take them. I entered a radio art contest where there are 15 prize packages to Disneyland and I need to gather as many voters as I possibly can get within' a 12 hour period. (I know DL is no WDW, but as we live in Utah it's the best we can do.) So I was hoping that I could implore you all to vote today (July 29th) for the last prize that will be announced tomorrow! And if you can pass the word to your friends that'd be great too! The more the better! (It's more a popularity contest than an art contest.)
