    Windows Vista. Upgrade or wait?

The long awaited Windows Vista will be making its debut January 30th. Some will be buying new PCs that already have Vista installed, and some will be upgrading from their current edition. As for me, I am not too sure whether to upgrade from my XP Professional.

I am most likely going to lean towards waiting because with new releases comes bugs. Microsoft will most likely encounter some bugs and problems at first. I would rather wait for these problems to be fixed and handled.

I would love to hear some opinions on whether to upgrade or wait.

More information on Windows Vista is located here:

    Thanks,
    Dnphm

I'm gonna wait, just to be safe. Plus software will continue to be developed for a long time to come, so we have awhile until we absolutely need to upgrade. I think I'll wait a good amount of time (a year or so...) unless I end up buying a new computer with vista already on it.

I would wait for new computers with Vista built in. Otherwise, you probably have to increase your memory to 1G and get a new graphics card and you would still have an old computer that could go at anytime.

I agree. Windows Vista is arriving at 12 am tonight. Let's see how this turns out.
