    Things I have learned living in ARKANSAS

    2. There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 live in ARKANSAS.
    3. We have four seasons: Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer and Christmas.
    4. A carbonated soft drink is not a soda, cola or pop...It's a 'coke' regardless of brand or flavor. Ex...What kind of 'Coke' do you want?
    5. People actually grow and EAT okra!!
    6. Sweet Iced Tea is appropriate for all meals.
    7. You have to switch from 'heat' to A/C in the same day.
    8. All the festivals across the state are named for an animal, insect, grain, vegetable or fruit.
    9. You work until you are done or it's too dark to see.
    10. Everyone can't be an Arkansan: You have to be BRAVE to live here!

    It was 98 degrees while we were hunting easter eggs. Today is supposed to be about the same. I thought this was spring?

    I agree!!

    It was 97º Monday and 98º Tuesday. To top it all off, we have not had but 1 afternoon of rain (maybe 1/8 of an inch) in the past 2 and a half months!!

    We have been under burn bans since Thanksgiving. (You know you're a "hick" when you have a burning barrel in your back yard!!)

    Now all the lakes are down 6+ feet so now we have to go under the water conservation and not water plants, wash cars or use sprinklers!!

    It has been a beautiful week! Couldn't ask for better weather for Spring Break. We've been going to the park everyday and grilling out every night! It is going to be 74 and sunny today!
