OH I like that. I have been playing around with it off and on. (havent done a full one yet) How are you all getting the center pieces to round so nicely. I have to play with mine and kinda fluff them out to get them to do that. Then again I am stapling them cause I cant find my tape so that may be it. I even rounded off the edges and cut the lines curved so it would look rounder on one piece to see how it came out. I will make a mini one of these soon to see how it looks done. I need to try this with the foiled paper, so pretty.

OK...I rounded one off and did the whole thing. Only thing is you cant staple the centers first. It is easier to staple the whole row of them then join them 2x2 till you can join the 2 ends. I know that dont make sense but I have a habit of doing things the hard way. It looks cool and different. I want to try the foiled one but dont feel like clambering up to the attic to dig it out. Still cant find my clear tape so I used masking ..Oh well you cant see it from a distance

Donnie likes them and wants me to make a bunch for him to hang up at work. I was thinking if you make them out of something like fun foam or plastic sheeting you would be able to hang them outside and keep them more then one year.

Foam sheets could work but like Mini V said if the paper is too flimsy it doesn't give you a nice end result. I love the edges though, very nice. I couldn't staple the middle one either Vix, not enough space. I am wondering how the he-ck you are doing yours, I got confused reading that post! I am glad my instructions were clear enough for everyone (almost) lol to follow.

Vix, not sure why yours isn't rounding off? I need to see it.

I taped all six of them end to end first, then joined them in a circle. Finally, I took the middles and I alternated them. I put a staple in the center of mine with the thre grouped together on the top and the three grouped together on the bottom. You can see up there in the pic that they did come together nice.

Yeah...what she did.. LOL You explained it so much better then me.

I took a small piece of fun foam and tried just one arm to see how it would look.....REALLLY COOOL! If you could find thin while plastic sheets they would work too.
They rounded off when I used the tape..and overlapped them correctly. I dont do well with written directions I am more of a visual person.

great job everyone! I have already made a smaller one for my mom's work. And Im gonna make a red one tomorrow I think its gonna turn out like a poinsetta. I can't wait. And Im gonna make more gingerbread men.

neat idea lilo. You could put some yellow small rolls of paper in the middle and a smaller "arm" or two on the edge in green for the leaves

I am loving that tote! The buttons are the perfect touch. I haven't seen them anywhere before. ( I haven't been shopping in a JoAnn's for about 6 months and any other US craft store for a couple of years). I can't wait to see the finished tote.
