Great cakes! How long does it take you to put a three tiered one together? Super cute.

The three tiered one took about 5 hours? Spread out on many days. Probably more like 7 hrs. I find it therapeutic working with fondant. All that kneading.

That cake I actually entered into the local fair, and tied for first place (there were only 3 cakes in the category!). It was great fun designing it and putting it together though.

I'm pleased with the canisters too. Thanks for the vote of confidence. In an effort to continue dodging the head board project, I tried my hand at making a purse. The pattern just calls for a plain lining, but I need pockets! It's my first one, so I kept the outside simple, but now I know that the size is good and how I want the inside. I still need to decide how I want to close up the top. The pattern calls for a snap, but I think I need it to be more secure. (Don't want my annual pass to slip out.)
Oh, and after seeing the Tinker Bell movie, I think we are all Tinkers in this thread. Guess we need to work on our fairy names.

a pocket for my cell phone...I hate having to dig for it

and a velcro pocket with an additional zippered pocket

    Thanks.
I know someone was teasing about taking orders. I think I better wait on selling my wares till I get the kinks out. Of course, I'd have to drop the Disney embroidery if I began mass production. Disney frowns on copyright infringement. So, I guess it will have to be birthday gifts or a design change.

I would love a smaller version of that bag! You can sell them plain and people can always add their own embellishments later!

My bag is about 7 3/4 x 14 1/2. The next size on the pattern is 6 1/2 h x 11 1/2 w. If you'd like to check out the pattern, - it's simplicity # 4178. I liked the category it's listed with, "Sewing patterns for Dummies". LOL
