Nothing exciting here. Trying to finish some projects we've been working on all summer, and then squeezing in a few last minute fun things like mini-golf and bowlng. We made a list of things we wanted to do at the start of the summer, and the kids want to check off as many as possible!

Wishes can come true, if you believe in them with all your heart.
And the best part is, you'll never run out of wishes.
Let me see... Friday night was out to dinner with friends and a family bonfire, today was Ohio State football, reading for my Women's Health class, put together a wonderful Butterfinger dessert for my mom's Birthday on the 2nd ( I have the recipe if anyone's as nutty about Butterfingers as her!), and another family bonfire where Adam plans to blow up the rest of his firework stash from the 4th, tomorrow it's church, more reading and bonfire, and Monday it's a party at my house for the whole family, the pool will be open, and my father (the chef) will be doing a brisket dinner. The brisket is currently occupying a majority of the fridge and thus competing for space with my Butterfinger dessert. This semester is going to be rough. I'm gonna need moral support. Disney is 6 months cannot come soon enough!
Jeanne holiday pay and family coming to visit is always nice!!
Stars- you sound like your holiday weekend is full!!!!!!! and please PM me te butterfinger cake reicpe!!

You will need:
2 cups honey graham cracker crumbs
1 cup soda cracker crumbs (Club crackers work too and make it a bit more buttery tasting!)
½ cup melted butter
1 package Jello Instant Pudding-Vanilla
1 package Jello Instant Pudding-Butterscotch
2 cups milk
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
2 8oz. Containers of Cool Whip
6 Butterfinger Bars (full size) or a small package of fun size bars (approx. 20)
-Mix both kinds of crackers together so that you now have 3 cups of crumbs
-Combine 2 cups of the cracker crumbs with your melted butter
-Press into bottom of 9 x 13 pan, I use the flat edge of my meat tenderizer
-Combine puddings in a separate bowl and prepare using only 2 cups of milk
-Blend in the softened vanilla ice cream
-Beat until smooth. Pour over crumb crust.
-Freeze until partly firm
-Remove and cover with Cool Whip
-Crush candy bars and mix with remaining cup of crumb mixture
-Sprinkle on top of cool whip
-Freeze. A few hours before service place in fridge.
** You may add an optional layer of the crushed candy bars and crumb mixture before spreading the Cool Whip.
This gives it an extra butterfinger layer and makes it taste all the more yummy.
Enjoy!
thanks!! i'm going to make that for our next gathering!

Your father sounds like mine when it comes to cookin'!!! He's a meat-smokin' crazy-man!!! Brisket, chicken, sausage, lamb, goat etc.
We worked our concession at the University of Texas football game today to earn money for DD's choir trip, and man were we busy! I don't think I ever want to SEE another hotdog again!!! Obviously, we'll be going to late mass tomorrow b/c of the time I'm posting and the rest of the weekend we'll be doing a bunch of stuff around the house and a little chillin' - hopefully!!!
