I just picked up the Imagineering Guide ot Disney's Animal Kingdom. A very quick read obviously, but a good overview.

Reading? What's that? My brain is fried from video games and sitting on DWT all day long.

I am reading the Imagineering Guide to MK. Also, the 2007 Unofficial WDW Guide, and the current issue of Vanity Fair.

I am so close to finishing Wuthering Heights. I like to read classics every once in awhile but they always take so much longer because the language isnt really the same. Sure its English, but its older enlish so man words are unknown or phrases are said in a harder to understand manner. Still it is worth reading.

Oh my gosh! Me too! I am also in my 30's and love these books. I really like to listen to books though and always have one in my CD player to listen to back and forth to work. Although I have read the first one, I listened to it last month in my car!

Right now I am listening to a Barbara Kingsolver book. Oh the places I get to go in my head.

Topping the stack of books right now is the heartwarming title Innocent Targets: When Terrorism Comes to School, by the father and son team of Michael and Chris Dorn. These two have carefully researched into more detail than most folks would ever want to know of pretty much every major attack by extremists on learning institutions from 1970 up to the 2004 Beslan standoff (which may well have been a sort of dress rehearsal for something right here in the States). No fear-mongering, no hype, just solid facts and genuine suggestions to combat this sort of thing.

The authors make a very good point that while no child has been killed in a school fire in decades, the safeguards are always in place--extinguishers, sprinklers. alarms, emergency exits, and we can't imagine not having them there and ready. However, there's next to nothing for the very real, and unfortunately much more likely, threat of armed attack. Teachers, students, concerned PTA members; this one so far has my highest recommendation.

I am reading a chapter on Ethology and other Evolutionary Theories from Theories of Developmental Psychology. Just what I love to do on Friday evenings. And I will read two research articles when I decide what to focus on. I better decide soon!
