Cool. Our districts around here do not participate in that but the ones south of here do. I always wished our board would do that, you get so much more out of a quick meet than just a piece of paper or an e-mail application.
I love e-mail but for teaching it just misses the mark.
yeah e-mail is nice but is bad at the same time. An email can help get the application in but usually they have an interview after that!
Ya, when I sat on our school board they would interview, but they got so many more applications after they went E that you wonder how many good ones got away.
Yeah, I am worried I will be passed by, but my co-operating teacher told me I really didn't have to worry! Which makes me feel good!

Yeah it is exciting. I know I can get a job, it is just the fact of.. are there jobs available because of the economy?
Not sure how it is out East but we are holding here. No more positions, maybe a few for attendance spikes but we are not cutting yet, but we also have a very good tax base. If you are fortunate enough to be able to pick don't forget to look at the $$/student ratio.

Next year our H.S. will loose a whole bunch of teachers from buy outs
Yeah.. It is scary but I do know when the economy gets better.. They will always need teachers..

Ya that is why both my kids are at least starting out as teachers, they know the security
