That is almost as torturous as the squirrels, I think. She typed in caps so that phrase must really irk her.

No, the 300+ year old one is busy. You'll meet the one who married Betsy Ross. No, I am not kidding.

I have to sometimes correct myself when I see people type gravy because my first thought isn't what you all think. Either way...no gravy of any variety is on it. Trust me, it's great with syrup.
I know what you mean by gravy

I don't get the gravy thing, what am I missing? We may need a Texas to English translation. I wish I had some Texas style brisket and BBQ sauce with a huge Kaiser roll right now. I am hungry.

I probably should not have listened to all 6 hours of the Travel Channels "Best BBQ and Steakhouses" festival. It made me want a 72 oz steak and some smoked beef with bbq sauce.

The steak place that does the 72 oz one runs a contest, If you can eat the whole meal in record time, the meal is free. But, the meal is a biggish salad, baked potatoe or fries, the 72 oz Porterhouse steak (YUM) and a dessert. The record is 9.5 minutes and was set by a professional sports player guy.

Well, I'm in the Midwest, so it's all corn, all the time. My husband and I were in the grocery store not too long after I moved here, and I saw a magazine similar to "Southern Living" called "Midwest Living". We were in line getting ready to check out, and I picked the magazine up and said, "Oh look, 500 ways to cook corn!"

    I got a few laughs.

Originally, I am from North Carolina....wait, I take that back. Originally, I am from Washington, DC. Not really DC, but a suburb in Northern Virginia. I moved to Raleigh when I was a sophmore in high school. So, I guess you could say I'm a southern girl....without the accent.

Regional food in Raleigh? Country ham, cabbage, black eyed peas, lots of pork, fresh mellons, squash...OH, and the seafood! Calabash delight!

Regional food in NoVa? Chesapeake Bay crabs! WhoooHooo!

Now that you have my life story........

I remember seeing a movie with John Candy..."The Great Outdoors" that had a scene with him eating a steak like that. He had to eat the fat and gristle too. Bleaugh!
