Like just because we dropped a bomb wars ago, we would never do it again? We repeat all the time.

I don't know my parents generation spits that phrase out frequently.

I think we may be interpreting it in different ways, then. I take it to mean that we should just be a lot more wary of all that is goin' on around us. If droppin' another one a' them would save millions of our lives, then I'd be the first one to toggle the switch.

No disrespect to the soldiers. Text books are written in a boring fashion.
Very different than a non fiction book. Add in how many times the same time frame is taught redundantly over and over in the 12 years they are in school. As text book firms keep consolidating, it will only become worse.

They need to find a better way to deliver the material to those with the attention span of 20 minutes. Studies have shown that if you dont drive your point in that span, you've lost them, it is just how the young brain is wired.

I always thought it refereed to the Roman Empire and it's descent from a thriving capilatist system to a full our and completely unsustainable socialist one.

I actually never considered that phrase in the context of war and America. How strange not to have.
