No Olympics Thread??? Well here's one

Here's your chance to talk about the Bejing games. About ten minutes ago I may have witness one of the most exciting events ever when the US men came from behind to beat the highly favored French team to win gold in the 4x100 relay in swimming.

I actually yelled in excitement as the result images came on the screen. Absolutely the best moment yet in these olympics. I'm really enjoying this non-stop coverage.

I totally wanted to stay up to watch that but I was too tired. I knew if I stayed up they loose and if I went to bed they'd win. See, I brought them good luck!

Say the highlights this morning- what an amazing race!!

I have to admit that even I was willing the US team to win by the end of it! And the Brits had some success in the women's freestyle so that was good.

What did everyone think to the opening ceremony?

Our house was flipping at the end of the men's relay....simply amazing. Phelps' expressions could almost bring you to tears. I love continuous coverage too. I'm watching live footage when I get up at 4 in the morning for work. Good stuff.

I have a question though. Anyone know the reason why the US men's beach volleyball team (Dallhauser and Rodgers) don't have any lenses in their Oakleys?

OMG, Phelps and crew were so awesome. Those guys totally rocked it. Dontcha love it when the other team talks so much smack and then the underdog wins??? And then Rebecca Adlington winning the ladies event, too precious, she was so shocked and happy. Hate it that our gal lost, but the other gal was soo excited.

Samantha Peszek has an ankle injury that sounded severe. Too bad, she is so talented.

How does everyone feel about our Basletball team? They are so classy this year (as opposed to the arrogant toads a few years back) and the chinese love them so much, great stuff.

Did you see those muscles on Michael at the end of the relay? I'll be good and not post the picture of Michael that I want to post.

Everyone at work was talking about that swimming gold medal today. It was amazing!

Also, I absolutely loved the women's gymnastics. That is always my favorite competition. I felt so bad when Nastia Liukin fell on her back after an almost perfect uneven bars routine...that must have hurt!
