Signup to be a host to Pluto during his Great World Tour 2009.

Pluto is currently planning his world tour and he is looking for people to be his local tour guide for up to two weeks in different locations.

What to Do

1. Signup to host Pluto.
2. When he arrives take him on a tour of your town, special events, or somewhere that means something to you.
3. Take lots of pictures of Pluto’s activities.
4. Post your photos and stories of your time with Pluto in the Pluto’s Great World Tour thread. I’ve also set Pluto up with a Twitter feed, so when you receive him there will be a login and password for you to access his account if you wish to update it. You can see his feed here: Pluto's Twitter Feed
   You’ll notice that his feed was started on November 4th, because I just couldn’t let this historical election go by without Pluto taking part in it. I got him an “I voted” sticker and a little something for his presidential candidate of choice.
5. Once your time is up, you send Pluto to his next tour location.

Signup Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• You must be at least a C-ticket holder when signing up (100 posts).
• Must be willing to incur the cost of shipping to the next location.
• You must to be able to turn Pluto around within a two week period.

For those of you that participated in Minnie’s Adventure there will be few things about Pluto’s tour that will be different than Minnie’s:

• Signup will have an end date. Once that date has passed we will not be adding new hosts. Deadline for signup is January 10th.
• The order you sign up in will not be the order Pluto travels. I am asking people to include their area in sign up so I can plan all his travels to the same region for the same time. My thoughts behind this are it will cut down on some shipping costs and if people are close enough they could plan little meets with each other to do a swap off if they wish.
• I’ve also asking people to list any special events that they might like to have Pluto attend. I know we have at least 2 weddings, a high school graduation, and I’ve already received requests to have Pluto run the ½ marathon in January and attend MagicMeets in August. I’m going to really try to have Pluto attend as many of these events as he can.
• To sign up please provide your name, location (city and state), and any important events w/dates that you would like Pluto to try and attend. Also if there is a time period in the next year that you can NOT host Pluto please provide those dates too. If you do not want to list the exact area you live in on the boards, please list your nearest metropolitan city. Please note that you will have to provide me with your full name and address, and it will be provided to the person who hosts Pluto before your turn, so if you do not wish to give out that information, please do not signup.

Well since he will already be in Canada, I will sign up too! I am in Quebec, nearest major city is Montreal. Summer months would be good for me as well.

well since he is doing the 1/2 marathon with Lori and I perhaps one of us could take him home from Mousefest and the we could exchange him at the marathon weekend..that may be more than 2 weeks but whoever takes him from the Marathon could send him off to the next person quickly so between the 2 of us he wouldn't be held much more than 4 weeks....if thats ok with Lori...and April ofcourse
