Oh no. Wonder how many other members will be like you I am giving up. Can't look at phone screen anymore. Will miss you.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NO NO NO NO NO!!!! I am so absolutely unbelievably down and depressed now.
DWT was always one of the very few Disney forums I could get to from work (which is why I could post in it so often and have so many people I consider family here). Well... now that it's moved to wdwradio.com... I can no longer get to it!!! Our firewall at work blocks all sites related to streaming audio so no more frequent flyer miles for me.
I am so unbelievably upset right now. This site has always been my break in the day... my escape to Disney when I'm having a difficult meeting... now I'll be only able to post the two days I work from home (I never get weekend time online).
Oh well... I love you my former DWT family. Hopefully I don't disappear into the mass of threads that I won't be able to keep up with any longer.

Wait wait!!! Don't give up just yet!!
SO sorry about your company blocking that site. Is there way way that you could ask them to add specifically wdwradio.com as an exception to their firewall rules?
In the alternative, there are some ways around it... Try Googling “anonymous surfing” and you may find some sites that help you get around these types of blocks
That should do it for you - if not, let me know. I'm here to help!!!![]()

Hey Lou! Sorry to have gotten your attention.Unfortunately my company blocks wdwradio.com because it's a "streaming" site. We aren't allowed to have fun at work don't you know? LOL!
I have indeed looked into the anonymous surfing. The irony is EVERY website I've found that you can do it through (probably close to 20 in my searching or more) is also blocked at work. No help there. Our firewall folks are good.
Alas I can't think of a way that you could help, aside from building a redirect that doesn't link to wdwradio in anyway... just for me... HAH! That is a joke of course, I'd never ask that of you.
I truly do love the new site... it's just such a shame I can't use it as my "get away" anymore at work. I can't tell you how much I rely on the family I have here to calm me and redirect me after a bad meeting or a frustrating situation in the office. Luckily I do work from home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I will still be able to pop in then but it's not quite the same as you can imagine.

Jenn, I had the same problem as you!!!!! When I got to work today and tried to log on, I was SO upset that my company had blocked it! I had no idea what I was going to do on my lunch hours anymore, and was also sad to lose that Disney escape that I looked forward to every day. Like you, I could get on disneyworldtrivia, but now wdwradio. I emailed Lou about it and wondered if there were other people in my situation, and he saved the day! Try clicking on this link and entering wdwradio.com in the search box and see if that lets you get around your company firewall. It worked for me and I breathed a huge sigh of relief! Just a warning - it is not perfect and the server times out all the time. You have to pay for an upgrade, which I am unwilling to do at this point. So, let me know if this works for you! I hope it does!Anonymous Web Browser - Free online proxy service - Surf anonymously!

I just saw your post that your co blocks the sites that let you around it too. That is really not coolDon't they know we would be better employees if we got a break for fun a couple times a day?!

I guess this is where working for a LARGE company (100,000+ employees) with a very big data security group stinks. Meanwhile my closest friend, who works in the same industry (competing company of larger size) can get anywhere, including Facebook, MySpace, etc. *sigh*

Can you try the link I posted above, or did they really get everything? I work for a large co too, and am surprised they let that slip by...knock on wood, watch it be taken down by tomorrow. That happens sometimes.
This really stinks - we will miss youAnd i'll miss it here too if my co finds a way to stop me again.

Just tried...
"Access Denied - The URL address you attempted to access is blocked by Wachovia"
Yeah that's right... Wachovia... I figure why not put it out there. Lots of folks knew where I worked anyway because I had an emotional breakdown here when the merger with Wells Fargo was announced. LOL!

Although I am NOT endorsing going around your corporate firewall or any of the web sites that follow, I have heard others having success with sites such as: proxylord.com, proxify.com, htmlblock.co.uk/anonymous_web_browser, and others
Unfortunately, I have no control over individual corporate firewalls (some of which I knew used to block DisneyWorldTrivia.com because of "trivia" and "Disney" in the name)

I could only wish to be able to play around on the site at work. But with only 50 people in our company we have a Sonicwall to deal with that blocks everything. I had to beg for years to get a password just to be able to do what I needed to do for work. If they knew I was going onto forums and listening to podcasts they would have my butt for it.
You guys are extremely luck to be able to have access to it.
i totally feel your pain Jenn, and i dont mean this comment to sound horrible (its an attempt to make you laugh), but i dont even have a computer where i work FCOL!!!
At this given moment I am glad I am the owner of my business. (As I get ready for tax season that maybe another story).
Earlier this afternoon I could get on with IE right after the mini upgrade, now, nope. Back to the I-Phone. Swear I am going cross-eyed looking at this screen and I never thought I had chubby fingers until I try and write a post.
For whatever reason my custom avatar did transfer. Think I'll leave him be for a while.
And Jenn, the only upside to the your particular firewall, we do business with Wells, at least I know the firewall is safe from its employees, who knows about the hackers.![]()
