Pray not for John Paul II, but for the church and the man who comes next

Now that Pope John Paul II has died, it is time to turn your prayers (if you'd been praying at all).
He has gone home and he is safe, and loved, and made whole now.

It's time to pray for the Catholic church, that the right decisions are made during the choosing of the new pope. It's a tough decision and my prayers are with them.

Pray for the man who will be coming next. He has a tough act to follow and a hard job to do. Pray that he has the strength and the faith to carry out his duties.

Pope John Paul II still needs as many prayers as possible, even in death. He was a mortal human being after all, and was a sinner, as we all are, whether we are religious or not. The Catholic Church will take care of itself as it has done for 2,000+ years. All churches and religions are under attack from the secular world. Whatever your religion, pray that peace will come to the Earth and that the lion will lay with the lamb.

Iohanus Paulus Segundus, probably one day to be named Pope Saint John Paul II (or even Pope Saint John Paul the Great), was one of the greatest men to ever walk the face of the earth. My teacher from last year met him, and brought back his zuchetto (If you ever get an audience with the Pope, you can see his tailor beforehand and buy a zuchetto, and when you see him he will take the new zuchetto and give you the one that he is wearing). He let me hold it, and just holding it was a powerful experience. The Pope is now in Heaven with Jesus Christ, and hopefully he is reading this right now and is praying for all of us here.
