Trying to Get Back Into the Swing of Things!
My senior banquet is in a few weeks and I need your help. For senior banquet we dress up in costumes based on the theme. The theme is "90 2 09." I am going (right now) with my two friends. I came up with 2 ideas so far. The first one is each of us wearing a shirt that has a 'W' on it then on one of our shirts will also have a dot sticking out the side. (W-W-W.) I thought of this b/c the internet took off in the 90s. I also thought that we could each go as an infomercial guy. (Shamwow! Guy, Billy Mays, and Chef Tony.) That's all I got. So can any of you out in WDW Radio Land come up with any other good ideas?

The Shamwow! guy may not be a good idea... he got arrested with something to do with a striper. The W-W-W idea is really cool. This is more on the girl side of it but someone can wear there hair like in the 90's ( I really do not know that much about the 90's being born in the late 90's). Random fact the first mcdonalds was open in 1990 so you could make shirts that have like a Big-Mac, Mc-nuggets and a fish sandwich or have the Mcdonalds charters on them.

I thought the first McDonalds was opened way earlier than that. A McDonalds by our house is modeled after the old ones back in the 50s.

April is correct too. The McDonald brothers first opened that year. It was very successful.The business sold lots of milk shakes so many that the shake mixer salesman (Ray Kroc) wanted to buy the business model.
side note, Ray Kroc first met Walt Disney while in training for the ambulance corps in WWI

The first Mcdonald's opening in the 1990 in Russia, which was a huge deal overseas. In America it's been around regularly since the 50's.

And now that we have hijacked Adam's thread. Here is the first, modern McD's in DesPlaines IL. It is now a museum with a actual one across the street, they opened the new one with a retro menu. I grew up a few miles from here when it was still a restaurant. It got hit very badly last year during one of our floods.
Sorry Adam I do not watch that show, so I have nothing useful to add.

I know we are from around the same place Adam, so I am assuming you are talking about the one located on 41 across from Kohl's and Target? If I'm right...then it really is a small world after all! It seems so funny to me that one of my fellow DWTers is so nearby!
