Who is your Favorite Star Trek Captain.. Why is He/She your Fav?

Hi folks . With the new Star Trek Movie comming out next weeknd . I would like to know who is tour Favorite Star Trek Captain , Kirk Picard, Sisko, Janeway , or Archer? What was your reason for your Choice?

Kirk by far, he is the first, the best, the original. He got all the chicks, plus he had a better team around him.

I like Kirk because he drank, got into fist-fights and he did well with the ladies...even green ones.

Deep Space 9 was my favorite of all the Star Trek series, including the original. I'm old enough that I watched the original when it aired on NBC in 66 thru 68.

I picked Sisko because he was the captain of that show. That and he wasn't the perfect boy scout the other captains tended to be.

I'm a Captain Kathryn Janeway fan.

I'm not a 100% certain why (besides VOY being my favorite), but I do like her over the others...I'd put Kirk and Picard in a tie for second place. I didn't watch enough DS9 or ENT to comment on Sisko or Archer.

Picard is my choice, although Janeway would be a very close second.

I really enjoyed the way Picard and Janeway both dealt with their crew like they were family. Picard was just really likable and I was really captivated by the whole STNG series and movies.

I liked the original sereis, so I'll say Kirk.

Picard is definitely my favorite.

Too bad we couldn't have him for Spaceship Earth... :no:

I picked Janeway cause even though she was a woman she kicked butt :) Although it's a tie in 2nd for Picard and Archer. Picard because TNG was the first Trek series I ever watched, and Archer because I love Scott Bakula :grin:

I'll bet this breaks down mostly by age; older people like Kirk and younger ones like the rest.

Not in my case. I'm old enough that I watched the original Star Trek during its original run on NBC, but I still went with Sisko.

I never even heard of sisko.

Picard. I had a life size poster of him on my wall when I was a student!
