Ok People I have been watching ABC's Extreme Makover Home Edition since 2004 and I love this show. it's A Feel good show that makes you cry. But I hame A Huge fan of Ty Pennington the Team Leader of the Design team at Extreme Makover. Soo what is you Honest opinion of Ty and his Team?

I like it okay, I would love to see a fifty states edition again, but for veterans with disabilities from the two "theaters of operation", better yet, two houses per state for Wounded Warriors, with a commitment from the sponsors of each build to help with the rehab, etc for a year.
Soapbox: Vets come home disbabeled and needing help with simple tasks. A rotating network of volunteers to help them would be appreciated and a HUGE break for the families who often end up isolated and overwhelmed. Off Soapbox.

I have been a fan of his work since he was on Trading Spaces. I dont think you can really criticize him "acting" ability because truth be told hes just a carpenter and designer. If you want a good designer as your host you hire a designer not an actor. Plus its hard to dislike him when you see what the show does for the families houses knowing that the family deserved what they are getting. And hes an enthusiastic guy and seems genuinely happy for the families and in the end you cant ask for a better person then that.

I can't stand that guy. My kids watch but I can't stomach that show. I think shows like that are a substitute for actually doing charitable work. I think a lot of people watch and think to themselves, "I'm a good person because I care" but then they shut the TV and do nothing else. I'm not suggesting everyone who watches is like this but I think a large percentage are.
